Dragonfish expands in poker field
In a move that will surely be watched by many parties it has been announced that ARJEL, the Regulatory Authority for online games in France, has awarded 888 a licence to operate poker sites, which has led to Dragonfish, it’s business to business division, signing agreements with Full Fun and ad Astra.
This new agreement will see Dragonfish who are networks for online bingo sites joining the newly established joint liquidity poker network with Microgaming in France. This joint venture is available to licencees of Microgaming and Dragonfish in France, as well as 888s own customers, and will mean there is a shared pool of players on a single platform.
Full Fun and Ad Astra are both well established in the French poker market; Full Fun will operate pokerXtrem whilst ad Astra will operate pokerSubito.
The CEO of 888 Holdings and the acting managing director of Dragonfish, Gigi Levy, said; “In newly regulated markets it is important for partners to create a shared pool of liquidity, benefiting customers and assisting in rapidly generating large poker networks. These agreements will pave the way for others in the pipeline to follow, helping us to build this liquidity and benefit from the opportunities available in the French market.”
