Burglary Advice for Bingo Players

Bingo players in Rochdale have been given them loads of advice on different methods they can use to protect their homes.

Various different techniques, such as role plays, were used to demonstrate the various approaches of protection. This was done to ensure that every internet bingo fan understood exactly what they were being told. It also thought them different skills such as how to protect themselves against phony caller in an interactive way.

The chair of North area partnership, Sheila Acton, stated that: “It was a fantastic afternoon – everyone got so much from it because of the way the messages were delivered.”

The afternoon also did wonders for bringing the community together as a whole, not something which is commonly found now English communities. The police were also able to meet people on a one to one basis and build relationships with members of the neighbourhood.

The afternoon took place at a local community base in Rochdale and was attended by 70 local residents. As well as entering a raffle and learning how to keep their homes secure, they also partook in a fun game of bingo with crime reduction advisers and officers from the Rochdale North Policing Team.
