Bingo win in time to celebrate 21st birthday

A 21st birthday is always an important one, but for one lucky person her near approaching birthday will be celebrated in style after she scooped a very handy £22,000 whilst enjoying a game of bingo.

The 20 year old was playing at the Opera Bingo Club in Penrith, and can consider herself quite lucky as she had only joined the club in January. She managed to call Full House on just 38 numbers, which meant that she won the National Bingo prize, hence the larger than usual jackpot. This is great news for bingo halls and internet bingo.

Ethel Nicholls, the Club Manager, said; “It is absolutely fabulous. Everybody started cheering and she was shaking. Everybody is delighted for her. We are getting a lot of younger players nowadays. We’ve had an exciting couple of weeks at the UK bingo club, as last Thursday we had a young lady win our monthly holiday game, a luxury four-star holiday for two.”

The winner has not been identified although it has been said that she lives in a nearby village. If you know someone who plays bingo, will be 21 in August, and is walking around with a bigger than usual smile then there’s a good chance you’ve found the lucky winner.
