NetPlayTV Sign Deal With ITV For New Bingo Based Television Show.

NetPlayTV have managed to acquire yet another great television airtime deal with media giants ITV which should avalanch the popularity of TV bingo into the mainstream. NetPlayTv have signed a 6 month trial agreement which allows the broadcasting of “Teleshopping” airtime. This allows the company to televise gaming shows during the new night time teleshopping trial schedule on ITV1. The agreement is expected to start at the beginning of next month which is quite a fast turn around.

NetPlayTV plan to televise a new bingo format based show which will last around thirty minutes. The show could be broadcasted up to 6 nights a week on ITV’s flagship channel. The show is rumoured to feature televised bingo and keno games however the exact format has not been fully revealed yet.

This Milestone deal came off the back of the revised Ofcom restrictions that came into place last year. This loosened up the law surrounding transactional formats during the night time period in the ITV teleshopping window. NetPlayTV is fast becoming one of the UK’s largest broadcasters of gaming across a wide range of different media formats.

The chief Executive of NetPlayTV has this to say “When we established NetPlayTV it was with the dream of creating our own interactive game formats and getting them broadcast on a terrestrial TV channel … The agreement with ITV1 allows us to bring together a number of disciplines, from mobile to gaming in the delivery of this exciting new transactional TV bingo show for a trial period.”

Though the direct consequences of this deal are not going to be seen until the launch date it is safe to say bingo is fast becoming one of the UK’s most popular pass times.
